Cutting EdgeIT Solutions

Websites · Website care · Managed IT

Websites that work. Technology you can rely on.

Custom-built websites, ongoing website care, and practical IT support — so your business can get on with its work instead of managing its technology.

Fixed quotes agreed up front. No page builders. You deal with the person who does the work.

  • One invoice

Your site, its upkeep and your IT on a single bill, with the scope written down.

  • One number to call

No triage between a web agency, a host and an IT contractor who blame each other.

  • One person who knows the whole setup

The site, the domain, the mailboxes and the laptops — all understood together.

What we do

Three services that cover the whole stack.

Most small businesses need all three and end up buying them from three different places. You can start with one and add the others whenever it makes sense.

Why us

Built for businesses that need this to just work.

  • Business goals first

We start from what the site has to achieve — enquiries, bookings, credibility — and design back from there.

  • Clear scope and price

A fixed quote before anything starts, and anything outside it priced and discussed rather than absorbed quietly.

  • Custom, not a template

Your site is written for your business. Nothing is inherited from a theme you will later have to work around.

  • A direct relationship

No account managers and no handoffs. The person who plans the work builds it and answers the phone afterwards.

How it works

Five steps, no mystery.

The same process whether you need a website, ongoing care, or IT support.

  1. 01

    Tell us about your business

What you do, who you serve, and what is not working today.

  2. 02

    Talk through what you need

A conversation, not a sales call. We will say if we are the wrong fit.

  3. 03

    Get a written proposal

Fixed price, clear scope, and what is explicitly not included.

  4. 04

    Approve it and we start

You see progress as it happens, not a reveal at the end.

  5. 05

    Launch, then ongoing support

We hand over the keys and stay available for whatever comes next.

Our work

What a build looks like.

These are demonstration builds, not client engagements — each one is labelled as such. Real projects will replace them as they ship.

The standard

Fourteen things we check before we call a website good.

We built the scoring tool we use on our own work, and we will run it on yours for free. Nine criteria are judged from full-page screenshots at desktop and phone widths. Five are measured outright — no guessing at load speed from a picture. The result is a weighted score and a plain-language list of what to fix first.

Judged from the page

  • Visual design
  • Typography
  • Colour and contrast
  • Layout and whitespace
  • Imagery
  • Value proposition clarity
  • Call-to-action clarity
  • Trust signals
  • Content quality

Measured, not guessed

  • Performance
  • Accessibility
  • SEO
  • Mobile responsiveness
  • Best practices

Website care

A website is not finished when it launches.

Domains lapse. Certificates expire. Forms quietly stop delivering and nobody notices until a customer mentions they tried to get in touch weeks ago.

Care plans cover the dull, essential upkeep that keeps a site earning: monitoring, coordination with your host, backup arrangements, and a set allowance for the small changes every business needs.

Care is optional and separate from building the site. You are never locked in to it.

What care covers

  • Uptime monitoring
  • Certificate and domain renewals
  • Hosting coordination
  • Backup arrangements
  • Small content and code changes
  • Troubleshooting when something breaks

Managed IT

The technology behind the website, handled too.

Devices, mailboxes, accounts and the everyday problems that stop work. Scope and coverage hours are agreed in writing before anything starts.

  • Devices and users

Setup, updates and management for the machines your team actually uses.

  • Security fundamentals

The basics done properly: accounts, access, patching and backup checks.

  • Day-to-day support

Remote help when something breaks, and vendor wrangling when it is theirs.

Questions

The things people ask first.

  • How much does a website cost?

Most small business sites land between $800 and $6,000, depending on how many pages there are and how much custom work is involved. We quote a fixed price before anything starts, so the number you approve is the number you pay. Anything that would change it — e-commerce, a booking system, content writing, a migration — gets priced separately and discussed first.

  • How long does it take?

A small site is usually a few weeks; a larger one takes longer. The honest answer is that it depends more on content than on code — projects wait on photos and copy far more often than on development. We agree a schedule with the quote once we know what we are building.

  • Do you use WordPress?

No. We write sites in HTML, CSS and JavaScript, so there are no themes, no plugin updates and nothing to break when one of them changes. It makes for a faster site and a much smaller surface for things to go wrong on.

  • Can you redesign my existing website?

Yes, and it is a good share of what we do. We will run the audit on what you have first, so the redesign starts from what is actually costing you enquiries rather than from a guess.

  • Do you provide hosting?

We coordinate it rather than resell it. Your domain and hosting stay in your name and on your account — we set them up, manage them, and you keep the keys. If you ever leave, nothing has to be untangled first.

  • What is included in website care?

Hosting and domain coordination, uptime and certificate monitoring, backup arrangements where they apply, and a set allowance of small changes each month. Larger work is quoted separately so the monthly fee stays predictable.

  • Can I ask for changes after launch?

Always. Small changes come out of a care plan's monthly allowance if you are on one, and are quoted hourly if you are not. Either way you are dealing with the person who built the site.

  • What does managed IT support cover?

Remote troubleshooting, device setup and updates, email and account administration, backup monitoring, security fundamentals, and coordinating with your other vendors when a problem turns out to be theirs. Scope and coverage hours are agreed in writing before anything starts.

  • Do you work with businesses remotely?

Yes. Website work is remote by nature, and most IT support is handled remotely too. Anything that genuinely needs someone on site gets discussed when we scope the work.

  • How do I get a quote?

Tell us what you are trying to do and we will come back with a fixed price and a schedule. If you already have a site, we will include the free audit so you can see what we would change and why.
